I joined My Chem Cafe at the start of JC1. Under the patient tutelage of Mr Wong, I was able to grasp the concepts and master the subject.

My Chem Cafe offers concise and detailed notes that cover the essential content required for the exams. At the end of every topical notes, there are plenty of questions to practise and reinforce content knowledge. Mr Wong also employs interactive 3D ball and stick models to aid students in visualising certain molecular shapes and orientations (esp for organic chemistry)

Mr Wong is a very friendly and approachable teacher. He is always open to answering any burning questions that students may have. Mr Wong is a teacher who will go the extra mile to help students, and I’m grateful to him for his support and guidance! Thank you Mr Wong!

Hi Mr Wong! I think you are an amazing chem teacher who really puts a lot of emphasis on the details and the basic concepts. For example, you always emphasise on how the concentration doesn’t change when you pour some solution away, but the number of moles change😁 I think these small details are actually very important when it comes to solving questions. Also, you take time to explain things very clearly and you really break down questions clearly for us during lessons for us to understand the reasoning clearer so that something I really appreciate as well! Lastly, I think you are very approachable when it comes to asking questions and you will always take your time to explain to me my doubts clearly 😁 Thank you so much for your help over the last 2 years and I really appreciate all your time and effort!

Mr Wong has an impressive knowledge of the subject and is able to use his this mastery to allow us to grasp the gist of even the hardest topics such as organic chemistry. His classes provide a conducive environment for us to learn and practice chemistry 🙂

Mr Wong adopts a very professional yet simple approach towards teaching chemistry. His lessons are effective in allowing us to understand new concepts easily, providing opportunities for engagement and clearing up misconceptions during lessons. Since sec 3 he has allowed me to build strong foundations for my O level chemistry and has continued guiding me through A levels. His lessons are both engaging and informative which allows us to easily grasp the concepts being taught, and he also goes above and beyond, always willing to help his students with whatever they need to the best of his ability.

I started attending Mr Wong’s classes after J1 Blocks. The jump from Sec school Chem to JC Chem was not the smallest and I was feeling unconfident when I did my blocks. Mr Wong’s lessons helped me better understand key Chem concepts that I previously struggled with such as Gaseous State and Equilibria. Consultations after class and over WhatsApp helped to clear up my misconceptions and allowed me to appreciate the interconnectedness of Chemistry topics. Mr Wong’s lessons are well structured and well paced. The notes he gives are detailed and even cover critical question types schools may not cover in detail such as polyprotic acid base titrations. Mr Wong has been a great source of support even for H3 Chem and I managed to obtain A for Chem and a Merit for H3 in the A Levels, a great improvement from barely scraping a Pass in Prelims. Mr Wong’s classes have helped me to better understand Chemistry and tackle any difficult questions at the examinations; His classes have helped me to build a strong foundation and at the same time build my confidence and interest towards it.
